Open Door Team- Team of mental health practitioners and student wellbeing officers providing support for students experiencing psychological or mental health difficulties.
Student Support Hub - Team of advisers that provides support and guidance on money management, Student Finance queries, private housing issues and specialist support for students from under-represented groups with our Student Communities Programme

Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLOs) - Specialist staff who provide support to students who have experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives.
Dignity Contacts - Volunteered to listen to the experiences of reporting students or staff who have concerns about harassment, bullying, or hate incidents
Local Safeguarding Officers (LSO) - A point of contact in Faculties/Directorates for staff and students to seek advice and to signpost reporting mechanisms, regarding safeguarding concerns.
Writing Centre: they can provide 1-1 support with academic writing for all students. They provide advice and guidance on academic writing, critical thinking and analysis skills, developing effective study habits and communication skills
Academic Writing Fellow: 1-1 support from Mark Illis who is the Universities Writing Fellow
Academic Skills Workshops: Variety of useful workshops on academic writing, wellbeing and more
Maths Centre: Provide 1-1 support with maths topics, statistical concepts and analysis, and preparing for numerical reasoning tests.
Online Academic Language Practical Guide: Ideal for students and academics, this resource delves into the formal, analytical, and objective nature of academic language
Library vocabulary: A list of definitions for words and language used in the Library
English language support - Offers a range of different support services
Languages Café: A fortnightly meet-up to practice and discuss all languages and cultures

Menfulness- Free counselling for men in York
York St John Community Counselling - Low-cost counselling (10-20 sessions)
121 Counselling - Up to 7 counselling sessions in York (free, but donations welcomed)
Belfrey Counselling - Up to 20 affordable sessions (between £15-50) for anybody living in the York area
Qwell Service - Online emotional wellbeing support services, available 365 days a year, for free, safe and anonymous access to same-day professional support
Kyra: Workshops and events for women on many different topics (skills, crafts, finances, motivation, meditation)
Andy’s Man Club: Wentworth College
York Men’s Shed: Community group for men to work on projects in a shared space
The Conservation Volunteers: Weekly gardening/wildlife projects and conservation events
